In this project, lower elementary students were challenged to invent a new type of service animal that could help them around the house.

They began by coming up with a list of their family’s needs, and then collaging together pictures of different animals to invent new ones. Finally we made wire armatures and covered them with clay to lovingly render some delightfully strange creatures.
